Obituary Willie Dee Phillips, 88, of Glasgow formerly of Gamaliel passed away Friday, September 16 at his home.He was born November 13, 1927 in Pickett County, TN to the late Clarence Phillips and Ada Stanford Phillips. He was a retired mechanic and a member of Gamaliel Baptist Church. He was united in marriage on April 24, 1953 to the former Nina Wiley.He is survived by his wife Nina Philips of Glasgow, two daughters: Myra Woods of Glasgow, Mary Miller of Bowling Green, one sister: Geneva Tuttrup of Selma, CA, one granddaughter: Amanda Sams and one great granddaughter: Kayla Walbert.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: J. B., Freeman and Billy Gene Phillips and one sister: Maedean Taylor.Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 19 at 10:00 AM at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery.Visitation will be after 1:00 PM on Sunday and after 7:30 AM on Monday at Strode's Gamaliel.Memorials are suggested to the Gamaliel Cemetery.
