Mr. Tommy Darrell Wilson, age 84, of the Clementsville Community, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at his home. Tommy was born in The Winkler’s Community of Macon County, on January 22, 1939, a son of the late Willis and Annalee (Copass) Wilson. He graduated from Hermitage Springs High School and attended Barber College, and owned and operated his own barber shop until his retirement. He married Betty Sue Hailey in September of 1960. He enjoyed fly fishing, was an avid hunter, and enjoyed being outdoors and especially on the farms. Tommy was a devout member of Clementsville Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife of sixty-two years, Betty Sue (Hailey) Wilson, he is survived by a daughter, Kim Petty, and her husband Tim, one granddaughter, Meagan Petty all of Clementsville, and one grandson, Cole Petty of Bowling Green. Four sisters; Brenda Roberts and her husband Mike of Union Hill, Jane Owen of Glasgow, Jo McLerran of Oak Grove, and Beth Crowe of Gamaliel, along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Annalee Copass Wilson.
A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to be held at 4:00 p.m. Michael Miller will officiate the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Mr. Wilson may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Wilson and his family at this time.
