Tim Ferguson

Mr. Tim Ferguson, age 69, of the Rockbridge Community passed away peacefully on Friday, February 18, 2022, surrounded by his family at TJ Samson Community Hospital.  He was born in Monroe County on April 12, 1952, a son of the late Earnest Clyde and Esther (Crabtree) Ferguson.  On August 14, 1971, he was united in marriage to Janice Geralds.  Tim was a devout Christian, having served as an Elder at Calvary Christian Assembly.  He enjoyed playing marbles, pulling lawn mowers with his sons and was a lifelong carpenter, having worked on several houses throughout the county and surrounding areas. 

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Janice Geralds Ferguson, his two sons; Shawn and wife Amy Ferguson of Mt. Hermon, Chad and wife Dawn Ferguson of Tompkinsville, four grandchildren; Shonnna (Kyle) Irvin, Chelsea, Timothy (Tara), and Nigel Ferguson, seven great-grandchildren; Kaiden, Kolin, and Laynie Irvin, Paityn, Rayland, and Skylann Skaggs, and Brilee Jessie.  Four brothers; Roger (Jo Ann) Ferguson, Bedford, Dale and Cegal (Shirley,) two sisters; Mae Jackson and Ruth Ann Chapman also survive.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; Bethel, Billy, Sebert B. Ferguson.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with interment to follow in The Ferguson Family Cemetery.  Mike Sawyer will officiate the service. 

The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Sunday, February 20, 2022, after 2:00 p.m. and again on Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. until time for services at 1:00. 

Pallbearers; Jackie Crowe, John Henson, Richard Bowman, Gary McCarty, Woodrow Sullivan, and Wyatt Sullivan.

Honorary Pallbearers; Jimmy “Chigger” Turner, Dillan York, Tommy Webb, Randy Kerr, Junior Buford, and Reggie Spears.

In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions may be made to the Ferguson Cemetery in honor of Tim, those may be made at the funeral home.
