Obituary Thomas Vernell "Nell" Baskett West, 93, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Red Boiling Sps., TN passed away Friday, June 12 at the Washington Health Care in Indianapolis.She was born October 17, 1921 in Turkey Neck Bend Community of Monroe County, KY to the late Rueben Baskett and Lucy Coe Baskett. She was a member of Gamaliel Church of Christ and homemaker. She previously operated a restaurant in the Gamaliel Stockyards, helped with cattle and tobacco, raised a huge garden, canned, quilted and made a house a home.She is survived by one daughter: Shirley Mise of Indianapolis, IN, five grandchildren: Jeana Zeimetz, Mark Mise and wife Tammy, Christa Smith, Todd Browning and David Browning, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands Edwin Cox and Malcolm West, one daughter: Evelyn Cox Browning Waltz, one brother: Newman Baskett and one sister: Daisy Clone Baskett and nephew: James Baskett. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 17 at 11:00 AM at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6:00 PM on Tuesday and after 7:30 AM on Wednesday at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel.
