Runell Jobe Shaw

Mrs. Runell Jobe Shaw, age 93, passed away on December 22, 2023 at Parkside-Hutcheson Medical Center in Rossville, Georgia. Runell was born in Tompkinsville, on July 26, 1930 the daughter of the late Bas Jobe and Flossie (Ford) Jobe.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and had a love for picking blackberries, and was known for making the best blackberry jam around. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the House of Prayer in Edmonton, Kentucky. Runell was known to be a Strong Witness, and Soul Winner.

She is survived by two sons; Morris Eagle Shaw of Marietta, Georgia and Kermit Veachel Shaw and wife Sharon of Williamson, Georgia, one daughter; Marsha Lynn Norris of Lafeyette, Georgia. Seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eagle T. Shaw, two brothers; Mitchell Jobe and Veachel Jobe, and one granddaughter; Angela Shaw.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Poland Cemetery. Phil Lowry will be officiating the service.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
