Ruby Lee Pedigo

Mrs. Ruby Lee (Deckard) Pedigo, age 89, of Gamaliel, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Monroe County Medical Center surrounded by her family. Ruby was born on March 15, 1935, a daughter of the late Oakley and Annie Ford Deckard. She was a member of the Gamaliel Church of Christ. Ruby did factory work at Genesco, Haywood in Gamaliel, and Stitches in Red Boiling Springs for over thirty-four years. She was a devoted and loving mother of six children.

She is survived by five children; Ricky Ray Pedigo and wife Audrey, Randy Jay Pedigo and wife Mary Lou, Reggie K. Pedigo and wife Michelle, Angelena Burkitt, and Allie Mae Harrington. Eleven grandchildren; Shane Pedigo (Jessica), John Pedigo (Megan), Brandon Pedigo (Estefania), Laura Beth Campbell (Jacob), Lucas Pedigo, Kristi Landreth Stephenson (Derick), Jonathan Blythe, Jenny Lou Rich (Curtis), Jeremy Carlisle (J. J.), Elizabeth Harrington, and Andrew Harrington (Cayce Bunch). Three sisters; Maggie Jones, Jessie Netherton, and Margie Clarkson. Many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death, by her husband and father of her children, Charles Wilson Pedigo, loyal companion Ancil Ray Proffitt, one son, Robert Wayne Pedigo, and two brothers, Rondal and Kenneth Deckard.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel with burial to follow in Gamaliel Cemetery. Bro. Danny Pace will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 after 2:00 p.m. and continue on Monday morning after 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers: Shane Pedigo, John Pedigo, Andrew Harrington, Jackie Clarkson, Jeremy Carlisle, and Michael Pedigo.
