Obituary Roy Cloyd, 90, of Evanston, IN, formerly of Monroe County, passed away Sunday, December 13 at the Willow Bell Village Nursing Home in Dale, IN.He was born April 9, 1925 in Monroe County, KY to the late Clurie Jeff Cloyd and Ella Mae Tooley. He was a member of the VFW American Legion and a WW II Navy Veteran. He is survived by one son: Roy Michael Cloyd of Evanston, IN, four daughters: Darlea Dilk of Camby, IN, Karen Cloyd of Grandview, IN, Cindy Johnson of Tobinsport, IN, Angela Cloyd of Evanston, IN, one brother: Jeff Cloyd of Huntsville, AL, three sisters: Betty Bridges of OK, Ella Boone and Linda Rich both of Tompkinsville, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.In addition to his he was preceded in death by his wife: Violet Vellmore Cloyd, step mother: Laura Monday Cloyd, two brothers: Hulbert Cloyd, Byran Monday, four sisters: Tacy Kniffin, Frances Kidwell, Audrey Cloyd and Pearl Tooley Johnson.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 17 at 1:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Center Point Cemetery.Visitation will be after 9:00 AM on Thursday until time of service at Strode Funeral Home.Memorials are suggested to the Center Point Cemetery.
