Obituary Ronnie Gearlds, 68, of Shreveport, LA, formerly of Tompkinsville, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at his home. He was born February 16, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Homer Gearlds and Golda Blankenship Gearlds. He was a self employed concrete finisher. He was united in marriage on April 9, 1965 to the former Judy Ann Rich. He is survived by his wife: Judy Ann Rich Gearlds of Shreveport, LA, one son: Tim Gearlds of Shreveport, LA, one daughter: Ann McQueen and husband Randy of McCadsvile, IN, three sisters: Sue Geralds of Tompkinsville, Shirley Pittman and Louise Monday both of Indianapolis, IN, four grandchildren: Michael McQueen and wife Alisha, Tyler Gearlds, Kristen Gearlds and Katie McQueen, one great grandchild: Brody McQueen. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother: Gary Gearlds. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 27 at 11:00 AM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Freedom #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM on Wednesday and after 7:30 AM on Thursday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Memorials are suggested to the Freedom #2 Cemetery in Monroe County.
