Rickie Dale Smith

Obituary Mr. Rickie Dale Smith, age 63 of Tompkinsville, departed from this life on Friday, July 24, 2020, in Smiths Grove, Kentucky.  Rickie was born on June 29, 1957, the son of the late Kenneth and Wilma Dean (Reecer) Smith.  Rickie was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an over the road truck driver for 47 years. Rickie is survived by one brother, Kenny Dwight Smith and his wife Jo Ann of Princeton, Kentucky, two sisters; Sheila Smith and husband Mickle, Angelia Ritter and Husband Jeff, both of Tompkinsville,  four children; Josh Smith and Fiancee Amber White, Ashley Grider and her husband Nick, Amy Craighead and her husband AJ, all of Tompkinsville and Colee Smith and husband Spenser, of Gamaliel.   Eight grandchildren, four nieces, and his aunts and uncles also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents H.W. and Velma Reecer, his paternal grandparents Ernest and Dorothy Smith. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2020, from the Chapel of Anderson-Bartley Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in the Moss Cemetery.  Neal Mathis will officiate the service.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time for services at 4:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Honor of Rickie Smith to The Moss Cemetery and may be made at the funeral home.
