Reed Kerr

Mr. Earvin Reed Kerr, age 90, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, formerly of Tompkinsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Reed was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, on December 8, 1934, a son of the late Tommy and Ova Della (Thompson) Kerr. Reed was a resident of Tompkinsville for over fifty years, before moving to Bowling Green to be closer to his grandchildren. He retired from Key Manufacturing after Thirty-seven years and was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Bowling Green. Reed loved fishing, being with his grandchildren, and sitting on his porch watching the squirrels and birds. 

He is survived by a son, Kerry Kerr, and his wife Terry of Bowling Green; two grandsons, Mitchell Kerr and his wife Hillary and Miles Lamer and his wife Abby, all of Bowling Green; two great-grandsons, Silas Kerr, and Waylon Lamer, along with several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Louise (Nevins) Kerr, one grandson, Russell James Kerr, two brothers, R.T. Kerr, and Grady Kerr, and five sisters, Madelle Ford, Betty Craddock, Evon Goad, Sally Gurganus, and Geraldine Rich. 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Gary Kerr will officiate the services. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
