Quietera “Quack” (Armer) Wheeler, age 83, of Gamaliel, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville. She was born on November 9, 1939, the daughter of the late David Henry and Flossie Juanita (LeMasters) Armer. She married Johnny Ray Wheeler on December 15, 1973, in Celina, Tennessee.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Johnny Ray Wheeler; eight sons, Reggie Wheeler of Columbus, Ohio, Ronnie Wheeler (Paulette) of Moss, Terry Wheeler (Angie), Carline “Tinker” Wheeler, Johnny Wheeler (Angela) all of Tompkinsville, Jeff Wheeler of Red Boiling Springs, Jackie Wheeler of Glasgow, Todd Wheeler (Terry Mai Baskett) of Gamaliel; three daughters, Carol Wheeler, Pinky Wood (Wade), and Joanna Geralds (Roger) of Bugtussle; sixteen grandchildren, Leanne Harrison, Bianca Wheeler, Jennifer Wheeler, Ethan Wheeler, Cory Wheeler(Hannah), Jordan Wheeler (Leslie), Jordan Davenport, Shandra Taylor (CJ), Dylan Wood, Hunter Wheeler, Zackary Hollinsworth, Megan Wood, Heidi Hollinsworth, Callie Jo Wheeler, John Elliott Wheeler, Ellison Wheeler; twelve great grandchildren; three brothers, David Armer (Cora Mae) of Greensburg, Archie Armer (Donna) of Taylorsville, Georgia and Roger Armer of Trilla, Illinois; one sister, Waneta Ragland of Mattoon, Illinois also survives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, David Jeremy Wheeler; one great-grandson, Ethan Waid; one brother, Norman Armer; four sisters, Mary Hays, Martha Wheeler, Shirley Sisco, and Norma Armer

The funeral services for Mrs. Wheeler will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial in the Wheeler Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday morning after 8:00 am until the time for the services at 1:00 pm. 

Pallbearers: Ronnie, Terry, Carline” Tinker”, Jeff, Jackie, Todd, and John Wheeler.

Honorary Pallbearers:  all of the grandchildren

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral expense fund at the Funeral Home.
