Penny Leigh Short Vibbert

Penny Leigh Short Vibbert, age 50, of Tompkinsville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at St. Joseph Health in London, Kentucky. She was born on April 15, 1971, the daughter of the late Brenda Kay Short. Penny was a CNA at Monroe Health & Rehab for several years before taking a Manager job at McDonald's in Tompkinsville. Penny had a special love for her grandchildren and enjoyed fishing and coloring.

She is survived by six daughters; Jamie Jo Holden (Robert Rhoton), Casey McKaye Ford (Sean), Cari Ann Short (Michael Bartley), Katie Lee Collins (Nathan), Shana Brook Collins (Jordan), Madison Jade Vibbert, one son; Kanyan Michael Vibbert, one sister; Wendi Shirley (Chad), one cousin Adam Short (Shonna), one uncle; Freddie Short (Louise). Eight grandchildren; Alexis, Westin, J.T., Aiden, Rolen, Koen, Kenleigh, Levi, and one on the way Grayli; her best friend, Becky Branham also survive.

In addition to her mother Brenda Kay Short, she was preceded in death by her grandparents; Ella & Alton Short, and two aunts; JoAnn Copas, and Carol Short.

Funeral services for Penny will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Old Mount Hermon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning after 8:00 a.m. until time for services at 1:00 p.m.
