Obituary
Ogene McPeak, 82, of Bowling Green, formerly of Ft. Run, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Magnolia Village in Bowling Green. He was born September 26, 1931 in Monroe County, KY to the late Omer McPeak and Annie Jones McPeak. He was retired from Phillip Morris Tobacco Co., a farmer and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by three brothers: Wayne McPeak of Tompkinsville, Eldon McPeak and Glen McPeak both of Ft. Run, two sisters: Shirley McPeak of Ft. RunGenear Carter of Lafayette, TN, four nieces: Belinda Allen, Barbie Emberton, Shelia Mantegani and Dinah Wallace, one nephew: Gary McPeak, several great nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers: James, Louie, Kenneth and Roger McPeak and one sister: Aline McPeak. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 12 at 2:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Akersville Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM on Thursday and after 7:30 AM on Friday and Saturday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
