Michael Wayne Tackett

Mr. Michael Wayne Tackett, age 66, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, and formerly of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at The Monroe County Medical Center. Michael was born in Montgomery County, Arkansas on October 16, 1958, the son of the late Rolland C. and Helen Marzell (Golden) Tackett. Mike attended the Baptist Church growing up, and was a jack of all trades and could accomplish anything he put his mind to, he drove a truck for several years and worked around sawmills and logging most of his life. He had a love for the outdoors, whether it be fishing or hunting, he enjoyed it tremendously.

He is survived by his companion, Peggy Hagan of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, two sons; Avery and Damien Tackett, of Tennessee, two sisters; Brenda Owens, and Debbie Clements and husband Danny, all of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Several grandchildren and one nephew, James Owens of Oklahoma, also survive.

In addition to his parents, Rolland and Helen Tackett, he was preceded in death by two nieces and one nephew. 

In honoring Mike’s wishes, cremation was chosen by the family and interment will be held at a later date in Arkansas. 

The family wishes to extend a "Thank You" to the Monroe County Medical Center, their Doctors, and Staff for taking such care of Michael in his final days.
