Obituary
Mary Edith Langford Teeples, age 92, of Gamaliel passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her home in Gamaliel. She was born December 9, 1921 in Clay County, TN to the late Wilburn Langford and Pearl Brown Langford. She was a homemaker, of the Church of Christ Faith and the widow of James Mitchell "Pete" Teeples. She is survived by one daughter: Sandi Cadle and husband Tim of Gamaliel, two sisters: Dorothy Langford and Elise Langford both of Celina, TN, daughter-in-law Treva Teeples of Oregon, three grandchildren: Jacqui Hurt, Jamie Teeples, and David Teeples, special niece: Barbara Langford and her dog: Bea Bea. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons: Ronald Mitchell Teeples and Earl Wayne Teeples, one daughter: Peggy Teeples,two brothers: Earl Langford and Fay Langford, four sisters: Selma Roberts, Olyene Borden, Rrene Langford and Barlow Langford and one grandson: Billy Teeples. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, June 1 at 2:00 PM at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial in the Langford Family Cemetery in Clay County, TN. Joy Langford officiated. Pallbearers were: David Teeples, Bo Taylor, Tyler Boles, Brian Hurt, Lester Langford and Jerry Borden. Memorials are suggested to the Langford Family Cemetery, these can be left at the funeral home.
