Lucy Wilma Ryherd O'banion

Obituary Lucy Wilma Ryherd O'banion, age 90, of Gamaliel passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Monroe Health and Rehab Center in Tompkinsville. She was born August 6, 1924 in Monroe County, KY to the late Edd Lewis Ryherd and Iva Proffitt Ryherd. She was a retired hair dresser and a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. She was united in marriage on March 27, 1947 to Gordon O'banion who preceded her in death on September 23, 2002.She is survived by three brothers: Audie Ryherd of Sullivan, IL, Dwaine Ryherd of Vandallia, OH, James Ryherd of Gamaliel and one sister: Faye Oye of Sullivan, IL, several nieces and nephews also survive.In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde, Carl and Paul Ryherd, three sisters: Essie Harlin, Eva Whitis and Dean Davis.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 14th at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery.Visitation will be after 12:00 PM on Monday, July 13th and after 7:30 AM on Tuesday until time of service at 11:00 AM at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel.Memorial are suggested to the Indian Creek Baptist Church.
