Lucille Rhoten Dickerson Abney, 84, of Tompkinsville, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Nashville, TN.She was born March 18, 1932 in Monroe County, KY to the late Dan Rhoten and Emma Kerr Rhoten. She was a retired Bookmobile Driver for William B. Harlan Memorial Library and a member of Mt. Gilead Church of Christ.She is survived by two sons: Rodney Dickerson and wife Susan of Lexington, Michael Dickerson and wife Vickie of Clay City, KY, two daughters: Shelia Carter and husband Lewis and Teresa Netherton all of Tompkinsville, one sister: Dean Youngblood of Alabama, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands: Royce Leon Dickerson and Buell Abney, and one son: Jerry Dickerson and one grandson: Jared Dickerson.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 26 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Gilead Church of Christ with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.Visitation will be from 3:30 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville and on Thursday after 9:00 AM until time of service at Mt.
