Lonnie Ray Bryant

Lonnie Ray Bryant, age 65 of Tompkinsville, passed away on November 9, 2021, at his home. He was born on May 25, 1956, the son of John Denton and Ann Runelle (Spears) Bryant. He was a self-employed logger and a car salesman for many years. Lonnie was truly a jack of all trades. Lonnie loved to hunt and ride horses and spend time with family and friends. The most important thing to Lonnie was his family, he had a weak spot for children and never failed to help them if he could. He taught his sons to be the best version of a man and his daughters to be hospitable women. There is no way to measure how much pride and joy he had for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lonnie was a great friend to many and was loved by almost everyone that knew him, but most of all he was a dedicated father.

He is survived by six children, LeAnn and Steve Bray of Tompkinsville, Morgan and James Bryant of Indianapolis, Lonnie and Melissa Bryant of Tompkinsville, Joshua and Amanda Bryant of Tompkinsville, Lonnie Bryant III of Burkesville, and Joanie Sleeth of Burkesville; four sisters, Judy Spears of Indianapolis, Patty Branham, Arline Patterson, and Tonya Bartley all of Tompkinsville; three brothers, Larry Bryant, Jimmy Bryant and Tommy Bartley all of Tompkinsville; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter Tiley Jo, and his best friend, Larry Walker.
Funeral services will be conducted at Noon on Monday, November 15, 2021, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home with burial in the Yokley Cemetery. Bro. Darrick Proffitt will officiate the service.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 9:00, am until the time for the service at noon.
