Leland Arnold Dyer

Obituary Leland Dyer, 88, of Tompkinsville, passed away Saturday, January 18 at his home. He was born August 16, 1925 in Monroe County, KY to the late George Dyer and Locie Moore Dyer. He was a retired auto body repairman and a member of Beautiful Home Baptist Church. He was united in marriage on January 17, 1948 to the former Louise Woods. He is survived by his wife: Louise Wood Dyer of Tompkinsville, one son: Kerry Shawn Dyer and wife Donna of Gamaliel, two daughters: Gretta Dyer Ramsey and husband Tommy of Spartanburg, SC, Beverly Dyer Luxton and husband Don of Corinth, TX, and 8 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren and one great grandchild due in March. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Harold Dyer. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 22 at 11:00 AM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM on Tuesday and after 7:30 AM on Wednesday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
