Kenny Hurt

Kenny Hurt, age 66, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at his home. He was born on August 30, 1954, a son of the late Rondal Earl and Regina Harper Hurt. After retiring from GTE in 2006, Kenny Started Go N’ Fishing Guide Service on Dale Hollow Lake, which was his second home, other than his love for the outdoors, Kenny was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Ann Norris Perkins-Hurt; three daughters, Amy Creek and husband Robert, Angie Ford and husband Jonathan, both of Bowling Green, and Kacie Hurt, of Tompkinsville; a stepson, Wesley Vibbert, and wife Christy of Mt. Herman; four grandchildren, Codie Ford (Alexis), Ceceley Ford (Joe Nedvidek), Connor and Keaton Creek; three step-grandchildren; Logan, Weston and Kelsey Vibbert; two brothers, Terry Hurt and wife Carol of Persimmon, and Mark Hurt and wife Penny of Tompkinsville; two sisters, Dana Ellis, and Kathy Brown and husband Larry of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee; one sister in law; Faye Hurt of Persimmon also survives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jane Bray Hurt on June 15, 2001; one brother, Larry Hurt.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Cecil Shaw will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10 from 4:00 until 8:00 and Wednesday morning after 7:00 a.m. until time for the service.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Kenny.
