Kathy Karen Grace

Mrs. Kathy Karen Grace, age 73, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and formerly of Monroe County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky surrounded by her family. Kathy was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky on September 22, 1951, a daughter of the late Eston “Cork” and Mary Ruth (Miller) Crowe. She attended Gamaliel High School, graduating in 1969, and obtained her Bachelors in Education from Bellmont University. She married Garland Ray Grace on June 21, 1974, and began her career with the Monroe County Board of Education, and as Co-Owner of Crowe's General Sales. Throughout her years, she served in several aspects as Community Education Director, and as the Director of Monroe County Youth Theatre until her retirement in 2020. Kathy was a devout member of Beautiful Home Missionary Baptist Church. When she wasn’t involved with the Youth Theatre, she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and expressing her artistic side with drawing, and coloring. 

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Garland Grace of Bowling Green, and three children; Joshua Garland Grace and wife Amanda of Nicholasville, Mary Kathryn Grace Turner and husband David, and James Zachary Grace and wife Jennifer, both of Bowling Green. Eleven grandchildren; Emma Grace Turner, Grant Turner, Graydon Turner, Logan Grace, Saylor Grace, Sawyer Grace, Ava Grace, Easton Grace, Savannah Grace, Baylor Grace, and Palmer Grace, several nieces and nephews also survive. 

In addition to her parents; Eston Cornell “Cork” and Mary Ruth (Miller) Crowe, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Don Elliot Crowe and John Cornell Crowe.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home, in Tompkinsville with interment to follow in Beautiful Home Cemetery. Randy Williams and Bro. Mark Copass will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Beautiful Home Cemetery in memory of Kathy.
