Katheryne (Graves) Stewart

Katheryne (Graves) Stewart, age 87, of Tompkinsville passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on July 18, 1934, the daughter of the late Truman Alexander and Edith May (Gray) Graves. She married William Dent Stewart who preceded her in death on April 2, 1972. She was a member of Freedom #2 Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from the Garment factory in 1996. She had a love for her neighborhood, community, and her family.

She is survived by one son, Doug Stewart and wife Kathy of Baxter, Tennessee, three daughters, Patricia Hamilton and husband Glenn of Moss, Tennessee, Connie Savage and husband Welby of Tompkinsville, and Charolette Welch of Gamaliel; one sister, Virginia Wilson; three brothers, Jerry Graves and wife Kathy of Tompkinsville, Terry Graves and wife Janice of Florida and Freddie Graves and wife Ina of Tompkinsville; six grandchildren, Patrick Stewart and wife Dana, Jeremy Crawford, Heather Stewart (Davy), Leslie Evitts and husband Chad, Jessica Thacker and husband Don, Mary Katheryne and husband Corey, fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents and spouse she was preceded in death by one sister, Athelene Helton; one great-grandchild, Brittany Crawford; one son-in-law, Greg Welch.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Freedom #2 Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Freedom #2 Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Blackwell will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday morning from 8:00 am until 12:00 noon at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, at Noon we will move to the church.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Stewart, Jeremy Crawford, Chad Evitts, Dan Thacker, Corey Ragland, and Davy Phillips.
