Obituary Joseph Patton Hite age 85 of Scottsville, Ky. Passed away Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Scottsville Medical Center. He was born June 26th 1929 in Stanton, Virginia to the late Finley & Bertie (Berry) Hite. He served in the U.S. Air Force and attended the Nashville Broadcasting School. He went on to become a broadcaster and journalist later becoming owner of WLCK radio station in Scottsville, and most recently a writer for the Citizen Times.He is survived by one son Jody Hite & wife Louella of Scottsville, two daughters: Pam Blankenship & husband Dwight of Scottsville, Joy Miller & husband Jeff of Bowling Green, three sisters, Esther See of Waynesboro, VA, Earleen Fields, Afton, VA, Sue McGann of Nellie's Ford, VA, 6 grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Edna (Wall) Hite, two sisters Maebelle Hite & Betty Kidd.Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 5, 2015, at Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville with burial to follow in Crescent Hill Cemetery.Visitation will be after 11:00 AM on Thursday, and after 7:30 AM on Friday at Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville.
