Obituary John Thomas Bland, 51, of Red Boiling Springs, TN, formerly of Monroe County, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN. He was born June 24, 1963 in Glasgow, KY to Mary Brown Bland and the late Johnnie Monk Bland. He was a self employed logger. He was united in marriage on October 30, 1982 to the former Debbie Smith in Celina, TN. He is survived by his wife: Debbie Smith Bland of Moss, TN,mother: Mary Brown Bland of Tompkinsville, one daughter: Amanda Bland of Tompkinsville,one step son: Joey Smith of Red Boiling Spgs., TN, six sisters: Virginia Smith of Red Boiling Spgs., TN, Flora Birge, Diana Harris, Betty Goode, Vickie McLaughlin and Carolyn Carrera all of Tompkinsville, two grandchildren. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother: Willie Tim Bland. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 25 at 1:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Bailey Cemetery at Hestand. Visitation will be after 9:30 AM on Tuesday until time of service at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
