Obituary Jimmie C. Turner, 75, of Tompkinsville, passed away Monday, June 27 at his home.He was born November 30, 1940 in Monroe County, KY to the late Herman J. Turner and Clara (Turner) Turner. He retired from General Motors in Indianapolis, having worked from 1966 to 1999, he was a farmer and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. He was united in marriage on December 1, 1962 to the former Donna Scott.He is survived by his wife Donna Scott Turner of Tompkinsville, three daughter: Tammy Jent (Steve), Pamela Sue Jones (Jamie), Misty Turner-Wade (Shane), one brother: Roger Dale "Punkin" Turner (Sandra), one sister: Thelma Bowles (Joe), seven grandchildren: Katrina Jones, Shane Jent, James Turner Wade, Jamilyn Jones, Katie Wade, Lexi Wade, Macy Wade and six great grandchildren.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Joel Dale Turner and one sister: Gerea Thomas.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 30 at 1:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery.Visitation will be after 5:00 PM on Wednesday and after 7:30 AM on Thursday at strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to the Bethlehem Cemetery.
