Jennie Mae Pinckley Grider, 93, of Tompkinsville, passed away March 20, 2016 atSummitt Medical Center in Hermitage, TN. She was born March 13, 1923 in Monroe County, KY to the late William Henry Pinckleyand Maggie Mae Bratton Pinckley. She was a retired school teacher, a member ofMonroe County Retired Teachers and a member of Tompkinsville Church of Christ.She was united in marriage on December 21, 1946 to Randall Miller Grider whopreceded her in death on January 18, 2010.She is survived by one daughter: Jane Nevins of Antioch, TN, one daughter-in-law:Nell Grider of Tompkinsville, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren andtwo great-great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son: JamesBratton Grider, son-in-law: Joseph Clark Nevins, one brother: Thomas BrattonPinckley and one grandson: Cole Harlan. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 24 at 1:00 PM at TompkinsvilleChurch of Christ in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe CountyMemorial Lawn.Visitation will be after 3:00 PM on Wednesday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville andafter 9:00 AM on Thursday at Tompkinsville Church of Christ.Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville in charge of arrangements.
