Janet Riggs

Ms. Janet Riggs, age 76, of Gamaliel, Kentucky passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Monroe County Medical Center. Janet was born in Monroe County on March 12, 1948, a daughter of the late Thomas Talamage and Sybil Kathleen (Mosby) Riggs. She attended the Gamaliel School growing up. She was a devout Christian and Prayer Warrior. She was baptized at Gamaliel Baptist Church in 1962. She remained a member there until moving to Gamaliel and became a member of Gamaliel United Methodist Church until her time of passing. Janet enjoyed flowers and sending cards to her friends and family for every occasion.

She is survived by a host of Cousins and leaves behind several close friends and neighbors. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joanna Riggs. 

Graveside Services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Gamaliel Cemetery with interment to follow. Bro. Danny Pace will officiate the service. 

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 on Monday at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with final expenses, those may be made at the funeral home.

Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel is honored to be entrusted with the care of Ms. Riggs.
