Janell Arnett

Mrs. Janell (Moore) Arnett, age 77, of Moss, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Tristar Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Janell was born in Monroe County on July 17, 1947, a daughter of the late Jonnie Denton and Hilas “Lelo” (White) Moore. She retired from the Crotty Corporation in Celina Tennessee. She was a devout member of Meshack Missionary Baptist Church, and loved spending time with her family, and grandchildren. 

She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Bybee and husband Jeff, and Lisa Jai Gore and husband Ben, both of Tompkinsville. Grandchildren: Garrett Emberton, Tristan Arnett, Keelan Arnett, Kinsley Arnett, James Ryman Gore, and expecting one more in May. Her siblings: Denver Moore, Carlie Moore, Danny Moore, Eloise England, Della Palmore, Pauline Hoffman, Carol Sue Reynolds, and Alisa Billingsley also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, James Arnett, one son, James Waylon Arnett, and one brother, Norman Moore. 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Old Mount Hermon Cemetery. Bro. Eddie Wilson and Bro. Jeremy Yokley will officiate the services.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, after 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers: Jeff Bybee, Ben Gore, Garrett Emberton, Tristan Arnett, William “Bud” Hoffman, Donnie Billingsley, Joseph Smith, and Chris Hoffman. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meshack Missionary Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Janell.
