Jane Tandy

Mrs. Jane (Hatcher) Tandy, age 85, of Gamaliel, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Celina Health and Rehabilitation Center. Jane was born on July 12, 1938 in Willow Grove, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Howard and Hansel (Gentel) Hatcher. Jane enjoyed her flower beds, spending time in the garden and traveling. She attended Bowling Green Business College, where she met her husband, Lawrence.  She retired from Citizens Bank, of Red Boiling Springs where she worked for over thirty-five years.  She was a member at the Gamaliel United Methodist Church.  

She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Lawrence Tandy, two sons; Stephen Tandy and wife Rebecca, and John Tandy and wife Ellen, two grandchildren; Bryant Tandy and Holly Tandy, all of Gamaliel, one sister-in-law, Judy Hatcher, one niece, Mary Donovan and husband A. J., one great niece, Kate Donovan, and one great nephew, Jackson Donovan, all of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother David Hatcher.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery.  Bro. Calvin Johnson will officiate the services.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Sunday morning, after 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gamaliel Cemetery in memory of Mrs. Tandy.
