James Earl Turner

Mr. James Earl Turner, age 85, formerly of Fountain Run, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Barren County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Glasgow, KY. James was born on August 31, 1937, the son of the late Logan Turner and Mary Pruitt Turner. He retired from Tompkinsville Motor Company and enjoyed doing mechanic and bodywork on vehicles and being outdoors.

He is survived by two daughters, Pam Gearlds, and husband Phillip of Glasgow, KY and Kathy Turner of Edmonton, KY; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, & three great-great-grandchildren; along with many other friends and loved ones also survive.

In addition to his parents; Logan and Mary Pruitt Turner he was preceded in death by his sister Ruby Turner and the mother of his children Sylvia Ellen Gentry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel, with burial to follow in White Oak Ridge Cemetery. Bro. Gene Gearlds will officiate the services.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. and again on Sunday after 11:00 a.m. until time for services at 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers; Phillip Gearlds, Jonathan Gearlds, Will Sewell, BJ Smith, Sheldon Rich, and Jayden Sewell.
