Isabelle Emberton Gill

Obituary Isabelle Emberton Gill, 82, of Tompkinsville, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Monroe Health & Rehab in Tompkinsville. She was born April 1, 1932 in Monroe County, KY to the late Clarence Emberton and Orpha Proffitt Emberton . She was a homemaker and a member of Tompkinsville First Baptist Church. She was united in marriage on May 1, 1948 to James Carl Gill in Rossville, GA. She is survived by her husband: James Carl Gill of Tompkinsville, two sons: Greg Gill and wife Cathy of Glasgow, Tim Gill and wife Virginia of Tompkinsville,one daughter: Nancy Thomas of Glasgow, one brother: D. R. Emberton of Crestwood, KY, six grandchildren: Michael Gill, Carla Cloyd, Mary Edwards, Susan Foster, Courtney Gill and Gill Thomas, five great grandchildren: Payton Cloyd, Jake Gill, Madison Cloyd, Kennedy Gill and Britten Foster. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by seven brothers: Manche, Fontice, Kermit, Louis, Jimmy, Clifford and Guy Dale Emberton, four sisters: Lucy Bowles, Naomi Ruth Embry, Agnus Proffitt and Alyne Ford. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September12 at 11:00 AM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation will be after 2:00 PM on Thursday and after 6:30 AM on Friday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Memorials are suggested to the Tompkinsville First Baptist Church.
