Georgia Holland Miller

Obituary Georgia Holland Miller, 96, of Summer Shade, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. She was born December 7, 1918 in Monroe County, KY to the late W. H. Holland and Etta McDonald Holland. She was a retired secretary for USDA and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the widow of Wilmer Wilson Miller. She is survived by one son: Larry Miller and wife Marilyn, one daughter: Aundriette Smith and husband John all of Summer Shade, five grandchildren: Don Smith and wife Diane, Holly Jacobsen and husband Brian , Robyn Jenkins and husband Evan, Larry Miller and wife Melanie and Michael Miller and wife Rebecca, and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by six brothers: Lester, Ray, Shelby, Owen, John and Alvis Holland and one sister: Alta Wilson. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, Feb. 23 at 11:00 AM at Poplar Log Cemetery in Barren County with burial to follow. Visitation will be after 1:00 PM on Sunday, Feb. 22 and after 7:30 AM on Monday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Memorials are suggested to the Poplar Log Cemetery.
