Mrs. Florence “Flo” Effi (Howard) Goldsmith, age 81, of Glasgow, Kentucky entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at TJ Samson Community Hospital, surrounded by her family. Flo was born in Monroe County on October 25, 1940, a daughter of the late Homer Wallace and Elizabeth (Page) Howard. She married James Goldsmith on June 11, 1966. Flo retired from PNC Bank, after working 25 years as an Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved daughters, and grandchildren. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of fifty-six years, James R. Goldsmith, she is survived by three daughters; Vicki Burke and her husband Randy, of Coldwater, Michigan, Dana Murphy and her husband Stacey of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and Jennifer Mitchell, and her husband Dennis of Glasgow, Kentucky. Ten grandchildren, Ashley Angel, Nick, and Dakota Burke, Matthew, Michael and Mark Murphy, Dylan, Jansenne, Seth, and Beau Mitchell, and three great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Homer Wallace Howard, and Elizabeth (Page) Howard.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Bro. Carl Thomas will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m.
