Flora Annie "Lou" Birge

Obituary Flora Annie “Lou” Birge, age 63, of Burkesville, Kentucky formerly of Tompkinsville passed away on July 15, 2020. She was born on May 5, 1957, the daughter of Mary Bland and the late Johnny Bland. She was a member of the Tompkinsville Church of Christ. Flora is survived by her mother, Mary Maree Bland; her children, Mary Hunter, Hershel Birge, Nellie Sanchez, James Birge, Carolyn Beaty and husband Joe, Richard Birge and wife Niki and George Birge and wife Brandy; her sisters, Betty Goode, Vickie McLaughin, Virginia Smith and Carolyn Brown; twenty-five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a special friend and caregiver, Nichole Spears; a host of other relatives and friends also survive. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Birge; two brothers, Willie Tim Bland and John Tom Bland; one sister; Diane Harris; two grandchildren, Tyler Watson and Skylynn Birge; one niece, Vickie Pruitt; one nephew, James Derrick Bland. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Anderson-Bartley Funeral Home with burial in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2020, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and Saturday morning from 8:00 am until time for the service. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place at this time, Guests are asked to wear masks when entering the Funeral Home.
