Fannie Mae Turner

Ms. Fannie Mae (Green) Turner, age 66, of Gamaliel, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at her daughter’s home. Fannie was born on September 12, 1957, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky a daughter of the late W.G. Green, Jr. and Maggie Deckard Green. She was a 1975 graduate of Gamaliel High School, and worked at garment factories throughout the years. She loved sewing, crafting, cooking, crossword puzzles, reading, and drinking coffee with her mama. 

She is survived by her mother, Maggie Deckard Green Jones, her daughters, Genetta Whitt, Denessa Coe (Danny,) Shaunta Turner, and Inez Hood Jones. Her companion, Gary Wayne Turner, eleven grandchildren, Elizabeth (Keith,) Maggie, Jailyn (Drew,) Jaxon (Kaylee,) Jeremiah, Allison, Cammie (Brandon,) Joseph, Tyler, Gunner and Harley along with eight great-grandchildren, Travis, Joise, Oaklyn, Renlyn, Andrew, Emma, Waylon, and Nolan. Two sisters; Anna Brown of Gamaliel, and Mary Guffey and husband Rick of Simpsonville, Kentucky, and one brother, Michael Green of Gamaliel, and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

She was preceded in death by her fathers, W.G. Green, Jr. and Willie Harold Jones, and one brother, Willie Joe Green. 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel with burial to follow in Gamaliel Cemetery. Bro. Danny Pace will officiate the services. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses, those may be made at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers: Jaxon Turner, Gunner Tipton, Alli Turner, Drew Eastman, Danny Coe, and Denessa Coe

Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel is honored to be entrusted with the care of Ms. Turner and her family at this time.
