Ms. Eva Carolene Graves, age 72, of Center Point, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Monroe County Medical Center. She was born on July 6, 1950, a daughter of the late Ewing Estes Graves and Arlene (Jones) Walden. Carolene was a farmer for the biggest part of her life, she enjoyed being outside and working in the sunshine. She loved listening to gospel and bluegrass music and was a member of The Hickory Ridge Church of Christ.
She is survived by two brothers; Johnny Graves and wife Glaydell of Tompkinsville, and Willard “Freddie” Graves and wife Binnie of Mud Camp, several nieces and nephews along with a host of great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Truen Graves, and James Walden, and two sisters; Thelma Graves, and Lola Morene Sheffield.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 7:30 until time for services at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hickory Ridge Cemetery in honor of Carolene.
