Obituary Elva Ritter, 92, of Tompkinsville, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at Signature Healthcare in Tompkinsville.She was born March 14, 1923 in Monroe County, KY to the late Nathan Ritter and Texie Capshaw Ritter. She was a member of Tompkinsville Church of Christ and a retired school teacher having taught for over 40 years in the Monroe County School system and a member of Monroe County Retired Teachers.She is survived by several cousins and many friends.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Grace Ritter and Chloe Ritter.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 28 at 1:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and after 7:30 AM on Thursday at Strode Funeral Home.Memorials are suggested to the Oak Hill Cemetery or Tompkinsville Church of Christ.
