Obituary Elder Charles Richard Long age 91, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 At His Residence in Scottsville, KY He was born December 12, 1924 in Dayton, Ohio to the late William Henry Long and Eula Viola Driver Long. He was saved November 17, 1958 and called to preach March 17, 1959. He was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a retired maintenance worker, where he worked at the Kirsch Company in Scottsville, KY. He is survived by His wife Mary Elizabeth Carver Long. They were married February 7, 1948 in Ringgold, GA, and were blessed with 68 years of marriage.Two brothers, Lattie B. Long and wife Edith of Scottsville, KY, Landon C Long and wife Bea of Auburn, KY.One Sister Beatrice Stinson Meador and deceased husbands Chester Stinson & Ralph Meador of Morgantown, KY. Three sons; Larry Wayne Long and wife Vivian of Kingston, TN, Roy Lee Long and wife Becky of Scottsville, KY, Dr. Timothy Richard Long and wife Jullie of Bowling Green, KY.Five daughters; Judy Roy of Scottsville, KY, Mary Nell Ralph and husband Allen of Scottsville, KY, Teresa Tabor and husband Greg of Scottsville, KY, Barbara Denton and husband Jeff of Hermitage, TN, Patricia Rich and husband Kevin of Gallatin, TN.Special niece Joyce Doolin and husband Richard of Scottsville, KY.Eleven grandchildren and Three great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Three brothers, William Edward Long, Nolan Long, J.R. LongOne granddaughter Jamie Rich.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Strode Funeral Home Scottsville Chapel with Burial in the Allen County Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be after 6:00 PM till 8:30 P.M.
