Edna Mae York

Mrs. Edna Mae (Adams) York, age 72, of Scottsville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. She was born on April 25, 1951 the daughter of the late Ocie Delmer Adams and Olene Marie White. Edna enjoyed spending her time working, cooking, canning, and playing Bingo. She was a member of the Cumberland Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Roger Dale York of Scottsville, four sons; Mark Bow and wife Jennifer of Gamaliel, Jimmy Bow and Shelia Rusher, of Indiana, Harvey Bow and wife Brittany of Scottsville, and David Bow and wife Miranda of Scottsville, one daughter; Sharon Wray and husband Kevin of Edmonton, three sisters; Bonnie Sewell, Helen Bryant, and Robbie Coe, one brother, Truman Adams, sixteen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers; Loy Adams, Thomas Adams, Jackie Adams, and Sammy Adams, one sister; Carolyn Bryant, and one granddaughter; Courtney Branham.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in Harlan’s Crossroads Cemetery. Bro. Brandon Bow and Mark Bow will be officiating the services.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Saturday morning, after 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers: David Bow, Harvey Bow, Jimmy Bow, Jackie Sewell, Dustin Bow, Brandon Bow, and Mark Bow.

Honorary Pallbearers: Bobby Bow and Bruce Bow.
