Obituary Edith Ilyene Pennington Norris, 83, of the Etoile Community in Barren County, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, IN.She was born October 1, 1932 in Monroe County, KY to the late Dennis Pennington and Nancy Hampton Pennington. She was a homemaker and a member of Dry Fork Church of Christ. She was united in marriage on June 20, 1953 to Preston Norris.She is survived by her husband: Preston Norris of the Etoile Community, two sons: Steve Norris and wife Sharon, David Norris and wife Connie all of Glasgow, one daughter: Ruby Hurt and husband Kenny of Tompkinsville, one brother: Clyde Leon Pennington of Martinsville, IN, five sisters: Ina Mae Moore of Louisville, KY, Inona Bryant, Ida Cloe Keys both of Indianapolis, IN, Iva Linthicum of Avon, IN and Idelle Crowe of Cave City, KY, eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son: Jerry Dale Pennington, two brothers: Lenneth and Kenneth Pennington.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 18 at 2:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.Visitation will be after 3:00 PM on Saturday and after 8:00 AM on Sunday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
