Denver Halton Summers, 75, of Tompkinsville, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.He was born April 12, 1939 in Monroe County, KY to the late Oral Summers and Flossie Bell Adams Summers. He was a retired sawyer for Hagan & Stone Pallet Mill and a member of Athens Missionary Baptist Church.He is survived by three daughters: Debbie Jeffers and husband Aaron of Red Boiling Spgs., TN, Ledeana Creech and husband Earl of Tompkinsville,Donna Wheeler and husband Billy of Lafayette, TN, one sister: Naomi Summers of Tompkinsville, three brothers: Dennis Summers and Larry Summers both of Tompkinsville, Dewayne Summers of Noblesville, IN, three grandchildren: Jeremiah Wheeler, Sarah Vibbert and Joseph Wilder.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Oral Lanes and David Summers, two sisters: Mildred Strode and Ila Maurice Summers.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 26 at 2:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Beautiful Home Cemetery.Visitation will be after 3:00 PM on Wednesday and after 7:30 AM on Thursday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to Team Seth, these can be left at the funeral home.
