David Royce Cherry

Mr. David Royce Cherry, age 61, of Gamaliel, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Signature Healthcare of Glasgow. David was born in Tompkinsville on January 19, 1964, a son of the late Sammy W. and Mayme Estelle (Coons) Cherry. He was a graduate of Gamaliel High class of 1982, and was of the Methodist Faith.

David is survived by three daughters; Brandi Plumlee and husband Dale of Moss, Tennessee, Rani Cherry, and Ashley Lee, both of Tompkinsville. Eight grandchildren; Mason, Keegan, Zoe, Piper, Dakota, Ella, Hayden, and Hannah, one great-grandchild, Kodie Hale. Five siblings; Joyce Hudson and husband Jim, Judy Hatcher both of Bowling Green, Jan Browning-Gregory and husband Victor of Glasgow, Dale Cherry and wife Vickie of Lafayette, and Doyle Cherry of Gamaliel also survive.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers; Duel, Dennis, and Don Cherry.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel, with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery. Bro. Mark Copass will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, February 28, 202,5 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
