Dana Margaret Ellis

Dana Margaret (Hurt) Ellis, age 75, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family. Dana was born in Monroe County, on May 27, 1948 a daughter of the late Rondal Earl and Regina Mae (Harper) Hurt.  She was a Tompkinsville High School Graduate, Class of 1966, and was a member of the Church of Christ.  Dana enjoyed reading, and spending time with her family. 

She is survived by two daughters; Sherri Bean and her husband Michael, of Red Boiling Springs, Leslie Page and her husband Thomas of Flippin, two brothers; Terry Hurt and wife Carol, and Mark Hurt and wife Penny, both of Tompkinsville, and one sister, Kathy Brown and husband Larry of Hermitage Springs, and one sister-in-law, Faye Hurt. Three grandchildren; Hannah Fraley and husband Jace, of Hermitage Springs, Alexis Carter and husband Lee of Fountain Run, and Jay Page of Flippin, along with five great-grandchildren, Maddi, Sadee, Ellie, Jasper, and Radlee also survive. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Hurt and Kenny Hurt, and one sister-in-law, Jane Hurt.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Skaggs Creek Cemetery. Jackson Page will officiate the services.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 5:00 p.m.

Pallbearers: Nathan Brown, Matthew Brown, Nicholas Brown, Joshua Hurt, Branden Vetter, Trent Logan Hurt, Chris Hodges, and Eric Addington

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Monroe County Backpack Program or to The American Cancer Society in memory of Dana.
