Clurie Brown

Mr. Clurie Brown, age 94, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at The Monroe County Medical Center. He was born on October 23, 1927, a son of the late George Clarence and Elizabeth “Lizzie” (Cleary) Brown.

He was a member of the Berea Church of Christ. Clurie spent several years working at Hagan & Stone Wholesale, and was a farmer.
He is survived by one daughter, Joyce McIntyre (Gerald) of Sellersburg, Indiana; four sons, Larry Brown (Shirley), Jackie Brown (Evelyn Jane), Ronnie Brown (Joni), and Mark Brown all of Tompkinsville; three sisters, Beatrice McPherson of Burkesville, Edith McPherson of Louisville, and Gerene Garmon of Tompkinsville; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Martin (Taylor) Brown, seven brothers, Floyd, Burley, Waymon, Hub, and Howard Brown, Curt, and Tommy Curtis; one sister, Robbie Davis.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Bartley and Sons Funeral Home with burial in the Memorial Lawn and Garden. John Osgathorpe will officiate the service.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 4:00 a.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m.
Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to Berea Church of Christ in memory of Mr. Clurie Brown, these may be made or mailed to the funeral home.
