Christopher “Chris” Walker Rhoton, age 52, of Gamaliel, KY, passed away on February 12th, 2024, at the University of Louisville Jewish Heart Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born in Tompkinsville, KY, on August 26th, 1971, to the late Charles Claude and Cassie Lorine (Walker) Rhoton. He was a member of Gamaliel Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and farm. He had a strong work ethic that was instilled in him by his parents at a young age.
A graduate of the Monroe County High School class of 1989, he began his career working at Anderson Forest Products. He later relocated to Alabama, where he pursued a career in manufacturing. Upon returning to Gamaliel, KY, he began working at Nestle Water North America and later APACE Packaging.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Charles Phillip Rhoton and grandparents Henry Clay & Myrtle B. Rhoton and Clurie C. and Ollie Mae Walker.
He is survived by his sons, Austin and Ryan Rhoton, of Gamaliel, Kentucky; girlfriend Gina Carmack, of Lafayette, Tennessee; cousins Jackie (Sharon) Walker of Tompkinsville, Matthew (Morgan), and daughter MaKenna Pearl Walker of Tompkinsville, Trent (Chandra) and son Jack Duncan Walker of Hestand, Kentucky, Keaton (Shelby) Walker, of Bowling Green, and Uncle Lowell (Betty) Walker of Gamaliel, Kentucky.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation with the family at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, on Saturday, February 17th, from 10 am until the time of his service at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Old Mount Hermon Cemetery in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
