Obituary Christine Petty Howell, age 87, of Scottsville, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015At the Hospice House of Southern KY in Bowling Green KY. She was born in Allen Co. KY, September 20, 1927 to the late Willie Petty and Genie Foster Petty.She was the widow of the late Gaywood Howell; she was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and retired employee of General Electric.She is survived by one son Jim Howell of Jeffersonville, IN, Two Daughters, Gloria Lyles and husband Herman of Scottsville, KY, and Maurita Barton, of Bowling Green, Ky.Three grandchildren Celicia Harmon, Angi Cline, and Chris Howell.Six Great Grandchildren, Danica Harmon, Westin Harmon, Riley Williams, Ramsey Williams, Avery Howell, and Anderson Howell.One sister in-law Deloris Petty of Houston TX also survive.In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by four brothers Camillus, Eutra, Excell, and Duvall Petty, and one sister Noka Wilson.Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the Strode Funeral Home Scottsville ChapelWith burial to follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Sunday, August 2, 2015 and after 7:30 AM Monday August 3, 2015 until time of funeral service at the Strode Funeral Home Scottsville Chapel.
