Carson Dee Graves, 88 of Tompkinsville, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Monroe Health & Rehab in Tompkinsville.He was born April 3, 1927 in Monroe County, KY to the late Edgar Graves and Hattie Walker Graves. He was a retired State Highway Department worker and a member of Hickory Ridge Church of Christ. He was united in marriage on February 17, 1947 to Ida Mary Cleary Graves who preceded him in death on May 18, 2011.He is survived by one son: Edward Graves and wife Sherry of Tompkinsville, one daughter: Bonnie Denton and husband Larry of Moss, TN, three sisters: Alma Dane Walker of Tompkinsville, Inez Bryant of Gamaliel, Modell Kerr of Tompkinsville, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one daughter: Jean Page, two brothers: Carlie Graves and Carlos Graves, two sisters: Shirley Graves and Lorraine Graves, two grandsons: Dalton Graves and Barry Wade Page.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 22 at 11:00 AM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.Visitation will be after 6:00 PM on Monday and after 7:30 AM on Tuesday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
