Brenda Mae Walker Copas, 75, of Tompkinsville passed away Friday, September 15 at Signature Health Care of Monroe in Tompkinsville.She was born August 12, 1942 in Monroe County, KY to the late Ottis Walker and Ova Long Walker. She was a homemaker and the widow of George Thomas "Tom" Copas. She was a caregiver to many. She never hesitated to help someone and will always be remembered as selfless, kind and a heart of gold. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren more than life itself, she was their rock.She is survived by one son: Larry Copas and Brookie, two daughters: Teresa Crews and husband Roy, Tara Dawn Copas all of Tompkinsville, three grandchildren: Brookie Walker and husband Dennis, R. J. Crews and wife Crystal, Larry Thomas Copas, five great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, Special friends: Ricky and Pam Cleary.In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons: Ricky Thomas Copas and George Gregory Copas, one brother: Frank Marshall Walker, four sisters: Virginia Jones, Regina Harrison, Wilma Jean Strode and Jenny Susan Walker.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 17 at 2:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in White Cemetery.Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday and after 8:00 AM on Sunday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
