Mr. Bobbie Gene Wilson, age 86, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 19th, 2025 at Celina Health and Rehab, surrounded by his children. Bobbie was born February 28, 1938, in Monroe County, a son of the late Theora “Hoover” and Nellie “Irene" Propes Wilson. Bobbie married Jenetta Davis on January 18, 1959, she preceded him in death on May 24, 2022. Bobbie retired in 2012 from South Central Bank, after a nearly 50-year span in lending institutions; prior to South Central, Bobbie worked at Production Credit Association and Federal Land Bank. Bobbie loved farming and raised the best garden on Radio Station Road, he proudly served on the Monroe County Soil Conservation Board, for Fifty years. Bobbie enjoyed his family and was always the first to show up for the grandkids' sporting events, he and Jenetta traveled all over to attend. Bobbie was a Member of Tompkinsville Church of Christ and had a special bond with his church family. 

He is survived by three children; Sandra Clements and husband Steve, Larry Wilson and wife Terri Lynn, and Amy Thompson and husband Brad, all of Tompkinsville. Seven grandchildren; Russ & Cierra Clements, Jenna & Nathan Slagle, Neil & Meredith Wilson, Chad & Sydney Wilson, Sara & Ben Leftwich, Sydney Thompson, Wade Thompson, and fiancée Stella Simmons. Eleven great-grandchildren, Wren, Merritt, Hattie, and Greer Slagle, Ella and Grady Clements, Hank and Chapel Wilson, Tilly Wilson, Laura and Leah Leftwich; one sister, Bonnie Rich and husband Lenneth of Glasgow, and brother-in-law, Mike Davis and wife Lisa, and two sisters-in-law, Glenda Wilson and Geneva Welch also survive. 

In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Jenetta Davis Wilson, one brother, Herold Wilson, two sisters; Rachel Glass and husband Joe, and Rebecca Wilson, and one brother-in-law, Loyce Earl Welch.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Jack Honeycutt and Neal Mathis will officiate the services. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday morning after 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tompkinsville Church of Christ in memory of Bobbie.
