Obituary Betty Louise Dodson Strode, 64, of Tompkinsville, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.She was born June 12, 1951 in Monroe County, KY to the late Omer Dodson and Neva Curtis Dodson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.She was united in marriage on October 13, 1986 to David Wayne Strode.She is survived by her husband: David Wayne Strode of Tompkinsville, step son: Nathan Strode of Bowling Green, step daughter: Monica Turner and husband Daniel of Glasgow, one sister: Ida Dodson Key of Nashville, TN, four brothers: John Dodson and wife Ruth of Indianapolis, IN, Kirk Dodson and wife Maggie of Gamaliel, Joe Dodson of Indianapolis, IN and Omer Dodson, Jr. and wife Eutiva of Lafayette, TN, sister-in-law Bonnie Dodson of Indianapolis, three step grandchildren: Hannah, Sydney and Makayla Turner, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son: Steven Ray Anderson and three brothers: Howard, Kenneth and Clint Dodson..Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, February 20 at 11:00 AM at Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery with burial to follow.Visitation will be after 3:00 PM on Friday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville and there will be no visitation at the funeral home on Saturday.Memorials are suggested to the funeral expense.
